Jefferson Street Methodist Church is located in the heart of downtown Natchez, Mississippi, on the corner of Union and Jefferson Street. Just blocks from the “Mighty Mississippi” River, this church has served the “Miss-Lou” area for over 200 years. Established in 1807, Jefferson Street Methodist Church has undergone several renovations, the latest in 2006 when the Christian Life Center was added.

The Jefferson Street community serves our neighbors and the world through many ministries. Several of these include children and youth ministries, providing needs for local people through our food pantry, and missional work throughout the nation and the globe!
We are a people called to love and serve through being an example of Jesus Christ with “Open Hearts, Open Doors, and Open Minds.”
We welcome you with a southern hospitality that is truly unique to Mississippians… come and see us!

The 6th Annual Natchez Literacy Project is underway. Our online shopping link for books is live where 50% of all sales go towards purchasing more books. If you order books for your own family, we still get a 50% match from that sale. Or you can locate our wish list “The Natchez Literacy Project,” and pick a book from there to order for us. (Please note: individual orders incur shipping, but our large order at the end with funds raised will be free shipping)

Our goal this year is to pass out books in February to all PreK-3rd graders at our NASD schools, but we are adding Preschool at our local private schools to make this more of a community wide mission.
